Credits

Nine rows, published. Every answer states its price, and three of the four ways a request can end are free, unless your own script ran in the page first: then only our own failures stay free.

What costs nothing

The site said no0cr· blocked · not chargedOur policy said no0cr· denied · not chargedWe broke it0cr· refunded

A page the site blocked. A URL our policy refused. Anything we broke. All three answer with x-request-cost: 0, and you can check it on every call. The header is there whether the answer was a page or a refusal. One exception: once your own browser.actions script has started, any refusal it could have caused is charged, because the script may already have read the page. That is a block, a timeout, a failed step, a host that does not answer, a redirect we cannot follow, a download, a page that crashed, an address we refuse, a refusal from your own proxy, or an includeTags or excludeTags selector too slow for the page the script built. Anything we broke is still free.

This is a position, not a discount. Charging for a blocked page is charging for a failure, and a competitor who does it cannot stop without giving up revenue they already book.

Price before you buy

POST /v1/scrape/quote
curl -X POST https://api.scrapa.app/v1/scrape/quote \
  -H "authorization: Bearer sc_live_your_key" \
  -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -d '{"url": "https://example.com"}'

{"data":{"engine":"fetch","pool":"residential","formats":["markdown"],
         "cost":1,"maxCost":5,"freeMb":1,"perMb":10}}

The quote endpoint prices a call without making it. cost is what the engine charges when the page answers; maxCost is the ceiling, which for auto is the browser's row in case the page needs one. With maxAge, the quote is the price of reading the page now; if a copy is there when you call, the page costs nothing and only extract is charged.

The month

GET /v1/usage
curl https://api.scrapa.app/v1/usage -H "authorization: Bearer sc_live_your_key"

Plan credits are granted at the start of every billing month and do not roll over. Purchased credits are a separate pool that never expires and is spent only once the month's grant is gone. Read both, and the megabytes, with the usage endpoint.
